Questions to ask your spreadsheet when you want growth
Recording data is helpful, but business value shows up when your spreadsheet can answer questions quickly. If you want growth, start with questions that lead to action.
- What products bring the most profit, not just the most sales?
- What products are slow-moving and tying up cash?
- What days or weeks perform best, and why?
- Where are losses happening (stock gaps, returns, pricing mistakes)?
- Which categories are improving and which are declining?
- What is the average basket size, and how has it changed?
- Which suppliers or product lines cause the most issues?
If you already have the spreadsheet, you can start by listing your questions. That is often the fastest path to clearer decisions.
